TRANSVAL-EU at the Making Skills Count Conference in Brussels

On 8-9 June 2023, the conference “Making Skills Count” took place as a flagship event of the European Year of Skills in Brussels, discussing the question why skills matter and which skills matter, with transversal skills being highly relevant, in professional and in personal aspects of life.

TRANSVAL-EU was present with a stand in the marketplace section, hosted by the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) and OeAD, Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation. Participants were invited to join the stand of the TRANSVAL-EU project to learn how transversal skills can be made visible and comparable and to get insights about the successful testing of innovative approaches in thefive countries (Austria, Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Poland).

The “Making Skills Count” Conference provided an interesting platform for the exchange on the topic of transversal skills and competences and allowed for deepening existing and forming new connections in that regard. Furthermore, it was also possible to share a self-assessment of one´s most prevalent skill – which turned out to be a transversal one, communication!
