TRANSVAL-EU National Trainings are on the way

On 10-11 October 2022, the national training event on the topic of validation of transversal skills acquired through non-informal and informal learning took place at Kaunas Karalius Mindaugas vocational training center.

More than 20 representatives of Lithuanian vocational and education training institutions, which validate or intend to validate transversal skills in vocational and education training, participated in the training.

The training was organized according to the qualification development program “Application of the validation of transversal skills in practice” accredited by the Qualifications and Vocational Education and Training Development Centre. The program consists of 40 academic hours. Training participants, seeking to obtain a certificate of completion, will have to attend the entire program course, which includes not only the theoretical part, practical sessions, independent studies, and individual consultations, but also practical work of validating transversal skills of VET institutions’ students.

The training program consists of the following main topics: the framework of transversal skills, transversal skills’ validation processes, tools, and methods; special attention is paid to assessment methods and ensuring the transparency and quality of the validation process itself.

Training participants will have the opportunity to participate in a peer learning session, during which they will advise and share feedback on the completed practical work, and provide their insights and recommendations for improving the validation processes.
